A Mindful Howse was started in 2018 by Erin Howse a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been providing group and individual therapy since 2011. With the rising trend in deaths by suicide I recognized the need for licensed counselors to provide support and education to people dealing with depression, anxiety and trauma. The data also shows that what used to be considered a “white” issue is impacting populations of all colors and ethnicities so there is a need in the behavioral health field of counselors of color.
Helping individuals and families recognize how their thoughts and beliefs impact their emotions and behaviors. Equipping people with the tools to change their behaviors and empowering people to address their trauma and underlying issues. Reminding people that they are not alone, I see them, hear them and am willing to take the steps to understand them
